It's actually me this time, Reba!

I need to extend a HUGE thank you to Louisa for setting up this blog and maintaining it for me.  She and Rondi have finally helped ME figure out how to add to it  ;)  Computers are not my forte.

It's Saturday morning  :)  Of course it's a beautiful day in San Diego (we are truly blessed to have so many of them).  My sweet Brenna, Travis and Tate are coming down today!  I'm way overdue for a snuggle with my Grandson and am really looking forward to that.

I just got off the phone with Angela Tarango.  She got married last Sunday!!!  Congrats Angie, I know you were a most beautiful bride.  Love you girl.

Don't want to get too carried away on my first self-directed blog, but do want to say, THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart to everyone for the outpouring of love and support.  You are all amazing!!!

Some one asked me recently if I feel how I would have expected to after my first treatment...  I guess on a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being feeling just awful right now...  I'd say I'm probably at a 3  :)  Not bad at all!

I hope you all have a good productive weekend with smiles and laughs and yummy food.

I'll check in again soon.  With much love,  Reba

Friday, March 19th

As luck would have it I got to have dinner with Reba, Jay and Monica at Jimmy Carter's last night!  She is now sporting this darling pixie 'do which is so perfect for her face!  Reba ate a good dinner and she was in wonderful spirits!

Reba spoke with Dr. Xavier yesterday and she was told that the physicians are leaning toward the uterus being the primary site.  This seems like really great news because that means that the cancer is localized.  The tumor in her abdomen was just an off shoot from her uterus.  Reba is meeting with the gyn oncologist within the next week and they will then schedule a hysterectomy.

She's our local rock star!  Louisa

Reebs will be in the hospital for one more day because of the nausea.  A radiologist ob/gyn specialist is meeting with her and will determine yes or no about the radiation.  Jay and Brenna are getting her house ready.  She will be really happy to be at home!       Rondi

Tuesday Morning

Off to a good start!  Stepped on my IV line and disconnected my port:(  Such a dork!  IV nurse will fix at 7:30.  Slept well, no barfy barf!!!  Have great color this a.m. and cute hair, what more could I ask for?!    Love you all, R
Have a happy day!!!

Monday night update

Hi!  Reba update from Gina live from room 830.  She has radiation Tuesday afternoon on her uterus.  She will know more after treatment when she will be able to go home.  She had a shower and ate some chicken and peas.  She is still looking great!  Good chance she might still be able to go home tomorrow.  The day after she goes home she will go to the hosptial for a shot (nulasta) to protect her white blood cells.

Reba here now!  Feeling good, shower felt amazing.  Gina fed me yummy dinner.  I'm going to pee, walk Gina out and try to nap!  Love you all.....Reebs

Sunday Morning

Reba is feeling the chemotherapy.  She said it's heavy, like it's weighing on every part of her body.  She's very tired.  She remains positive and is asking for light and optimisitic energy.  She says hi to you all!                    Louisa
