Happy Good Friday! And I'm happy to say it's a really good Friday :) I feel pretty darn close to normal today. I was up early, showered and now I'm tackling my laundry monster! Brenna and Tate are dropping by soon to say hi before they leave for the desert.
Not much to report really! Happy to be out of the hospital and have my immune system back. Going to see the specialist doctor on the 8th and will know more then.
As always, thank you SO VERY MUCH for all the love and support. Your concern and kindess really lift me up. I know I would not feel this good without each and every one of you pulling for me!!!
Happy Easter my friends,
Reba xo
A blog might be easier than answering all the texts and e-mails individually. Please post well wishes and questions here. Thank you Village!

Healing Miracles!!
Reba is home! Her white blood cell count is back up and Dr. Xavier sent her home. Reba is a healing rock star. The doctors agreed that she needs to have a hysterectomy before her next chemotherapy treatment. No date has been set. I can't express just how incredible it is that she rallied so quickly. The nurses and physicians are really impressed with her.
Reba did a happy dance several times this morning:) She is back to her happy, darling self. Louisa

Great News!
Text from room 829:
IF what Dr. Bahador and Dr. Xavier believe to be true, this round of chemo was succesfull in knocking the cancers way back.
Dr. B also believes I had a "well behaved" cancer in my uterus; a cell escaped and found it's way to the other site. They want to perform the hysterectomy soon, followed by a very possible outpatient (!!!!!) chemo.
My current stay will most likely be 4 days as my immune system is very low and needs to rebuild. Dr. X said this situation is not at all unusual.
I'm still very nauseous from my pain shot this morning but this will pass. I'm getting fluids now to flush me out. I just had an ultrasound on my legs to check for clots.
There is a definite nap in my future...I don't think there's too much more poking and prodding needed today (cross your fingers).
xoxoxo R.

If nothing else, the emergency room gives us reason to be thankful:) Reba had an incredible amount of lab work done last night and at this point we don't really have any answers. As Rondi said, the physicians are monitoring her white blood cells. Her chest x-ray was clear which was fabulous news! She was moved to the 4th floor to another holding area and was put into a private room. As of this morning she is still on the 4th floor waiting for a room on 8. Her room is really quiet and there isn't any foot traffic, so it's quite peaceful. There is a sign on her door stating "Neutropenic Precautions" so anyone entering has to wash their hands, put on gloves and wear a mask. Absolutely no flowers or plants are permitted. She said she slept pretty well but the nurses continued to take blood. She is on intravenous antibiotics every 8 hours. She ate all her fruit and drank her milk but not much else. She was given dilaudid for cramps and overall feels pretty good. The GOOD side to this is the physicians think she hit the wall and now her cells are regenerating. We don't know how long she'll be in the hospital so it's another waiting game. She remains positive, high spirited and just goes with the flow. Her care at Mercy has been amazing. The emergency room nurses, the rather hot ER doc and the RN in her room this morning were all gentle, kind and truly interested in knowing everything about Reba. She's in good hands. Louisa

Sunday Night
Hi there. It's Rondi here. I just talked to Louisa and she asked me to post for her.
Reba was really sleepy today and had developed a small fever (100.4). Any fever is cause for concern so Louisa took her to the Emergency Room tonight per Dr. Xavier's request. She will be admitted to the hospital tonight so they can monitor her. She is on antibiotics and a saline IV. The fever is from her very low white blood cell count. They also took a lot of blood samples which they will use to determine which antibiotic is best in the case that what she is on doesn't do the trick.
When Dr. Xavier talked to Reba on Friday she told her she would feel worse before she felt better. So, I think she has hit that proverbial, "chemo wall". It's time now to wear masks and gloves when we visit her and she can't have flowers or plants. She is very vulnerable.
Louisa said that, as usual, Reba is going with the flow with grace and a great attitude.
Lots of love to sweet Reba.
